The idea for Hardsum began with a curious observation from the world of economics. When economists represent people's preferences in matrices, the resulting grids often display a fascinating property: the sums of each row and each column are always equal. We transformed this mathematical elegance into a fun, engaging activity. Developed with the help of generative AI and refined through many evenings of family testing at the kitchen table.
