About the game
Japa Life is a browser game about relocating abroad from Nigeria. You start in Lagos with ₦800,000 and a big dream, pick a country like the UK, Canada, the US, Germany, Australia or Ireland, then work through each step: write IELTS, apply for a scholarship or a sponsored job, show proof of funds, apply for a visa and book your flight. Along the way you hustle for money, try risky side gigs, beg your uncle for help and deal with NEPA, fuel scarcity, fake visa agents and visa refusals. All the money in the game is pretend. It is made by 9jaFinds, a site for Nigerians living abroad, and has a leaderboard and a live feed of other players on their own journeys.
Japa Life is a simulation game for Web, made by 9jaFinds (@9jafinds) in England, released in 2026.
